MALAYSIA
The number of churches desiring to dig deeper in understanding God's global purpose has expanded over the past decade. Many Malaysians have taken the Kairos course in both English and Mandarin, and as a result are wanting to grow deeper in their understanding of God's heartbeat for the nations. The Perspectives course fulfills that desire.
Perspectives was officially launched in Malaysia in 2019, conducted in English, and fully led by Malaysians. As Malaysia has a significant Christian Chinese diaspora, the following year the course was also offered in Mandarin. Like so many others during the global pandemic, Perspectives Malaysia offered its first online program in 2020 in both languages, allowing many others from the region and as far away as Africa to enroll.
PSP opened my eyes to see that God's heart for missions neither begins with—nor is it limited to—the Great Commission as I understood it. Instead, His purpose since the foundation of the world has been for all peoples to worship Him and bring Him glory, so that we may also live out the beautiful destiny He designed for us.

Increasingly churches are mobilizing their members for cross-cultural ministries, especially to refugees and migrant workers in Malaysia, and to the unreached in Southeast Asia.
Perspectives is undergirding this mobilization and is a tool in equipping long-term workers to serve among unreached people groups.
Perspectives on the World Christian Movement has once again reminded me that missions is not something we do for God, but rather God's invitation for us to participate in His work. From Abraham to Revelation, God has consistently done the same thing: bless all nations. Throughout history—from the early church to the Moravians, William Carey, and the China Inland Mission—every generation has had those who responded. Now, it is our generation's turn. Will we take up the baton?
