Angola
The story of Perspectives in Angola begins in Brazil. In 2010, Pastor Santareno Augusto Miranda was invited by Kevin Boot to serve as a Perspectives instructor in Brazil — and through years of intercession he and his wife Elizabeth carried a vision to bring the course to Angola. After several early attempts, in 2017 Perspectivas Brasil challenged all of its classes to raise the resources for the first leadership trip to Angola, where Santareno and Elizabeth presented the course to Angolan church leaders.
Despite the economic challenges Angola faces, Perspectives has grown and consolidated year after year, becoming known in cities across the country. In 2025, the Perspectivas Angola board (colegiado) was officially established, and today the movement is led by an entirely Angolan structure: a director, secretary, administration, and a team of regional coordinators. The leadership gathers for an annual in-person training — regularly joined by Kevin Boot and at times by Flávio Ramos, current director of Perspectivas Brasil — and works together online every week.
"I am grateful to God for the opportunity to be part of the first Perspectives class in Angola. Taking this course was not simply about gaining knowledge — it was a change of mindset in matters of evangelism and missions: how to serve in God's Kingdom thinking of the whole gospel, for all peoples. We are already putting the teaching into practice, awakening the church to obey the biblical principles and commands of God's mission. The mission is God's — and we are summoned to take part in it."
— Eunice Teixeira Panzo, student, Perspectivas Angola 2020
Perspectivas Angola is investing deliberately in mobilization, extending the vision to every region of the country and focusing on awakening the Angolan church to God's mission. In Huambo province alone, a fifth Perspectives class was completed in 2025. A theological seminary in southern Angola has requested Perspectives as a module in its curriculum, and Angola is now playing a key role in establishing the course among Angolans living in other countries.
The movement today is carried by 115 intercessors praying daily around the clock, approximately 40 volunteers, and 10 trained instructors — each class working through the full 15-lesson curriculum across the four perspectives of God's mission: Biblical, Historical, Cultural, and Strategic. → Learn more about the Perspectives course
