The first Perspectives Korea class was held in the year 2000 under the auspices of Mission Korea and the initiative of Chulho Han. Within two years, over 1000 students were enrolled in a Perspectives class.

Initially begun as a follow-up class for students mobilized by Mission Korea, Perspectives is now a premier mission training course. It is helping shape mission strategy for the Korean church and transforming the sermons of pastors.

In 2010 Mission Partners was formed out of Mission Korea to focus upon mission mobilization by education. This specialized focus allowed Perspectives enrollment to accelerate and other resources to be developed. Over 30,000 Koreans have taken the Perspectives course, with about 20% serving at least one year in cross-cultural ministry.

“Through Perspectives, I realized that missions is a cultural and ethnic concept and that I could meet many peoples without going far. We need to realize how to reach out with the gospel to those who have come among us and change our missionary method. Many of my thoughts on missionary work were reoriented through Perspectives. It is an important education that Christians who believe in Jesus should receive, so I recommend it to all the members of my church.“
