CHINA

The Chinese Perspectives program serves mainland China, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), and diaspora Chinese in Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States.

Several attempts were made at providing the Perspectives curriculum in Chinese over a couple of decades. Translation of the curriculum was a slow and laborious process. A Perspectives Study Program with the completed curriculum was introduced to top leadership of the mainland Chinese Church in 2013 and well-received. It started with only the global Chinese Perspectives Coordinating Office but expanded rapidly. Today, there are volunteers in north, northwest, river region, west, central, east, south, southwest of China.

The Hong Kong SAR program was developed much later and patterned after that of China but with some difference. The program runs once a week without restriction, with oversight by a properly registered committee. Several generations of instructors have been trained. Within only a few short years, total number of students in Hong Kong number almost 300.

The program in Malaysia runs parallel to the English program. However, both are hosted by the Malaysian Chinese church. Australia / New Zealand is the newest Chinese program. Instructors have been trained and they are preparing to launch their first class in 2023.
